52 volt system on Quattro 48/10000 and Fronius Primo 6.0-1

Hi,

Following is my system setup:

  • Cerbo GX version 2.9.1

  • Quattro 48/10000/140-2x100 with FW version 2653508

  • Fronius Primo 6.0-1 setup on the inverter output (setup also on ESS)

  • BlueSolar Charger MPPT 150/85 VE.CAN with screen and buttons version 2.05

Quattro is connected to the cerbo via VE BUS and MPPT charger is connected via CAN.

I had 24 Enersol T1000, 2 volt OPZS batteries and the system was working properly, and the frequency shifting between the quattro and the Fronius was perfect.

I added two 2 batteries (total of 26 batteries) in series, and the system is now 52 volt system instead of 48 volt.

I updated the inverter setup to increase all voltages:
Absorption v: 62.4
Float V: 58.5
Charge Current: 80 A

After this update, the Quattro is increasing the frequency to 53 Hz causing the Fronius to shut down and raising error 560 (Over frequency).

Please help me to figuring what else I need to change in order to adapt to this high DC battery voltage.

Thank you

Hi Ziad,
I came across your post while researching something else for a customer on the Quattro 48/10000. I am not sure why the frequency of the inverter is increasing but why would you increase the voltage of the battery bank to 52V if you have a 48V system? The charge voltage settings you adjusted to exceed the acceptable charge voltages on the Quattro datasheet.
120VAC

230VAC

Are they possibly unable to absorb the charging current and the system is therefore throttling the power supply by increasing the frequency because it can no longer process the charging current?
