3 Phase VM-3P75CT Grid Connection Readings Problems

Grid supplies to the entire house 3 phase and supplies to 1 phase 15kva quattro for only server room loads.

The inverter AC input power 1 reads 1437w. After connecting the VM-3P75CT meter to the ATS grid connection the grid reads 327w. Why is this? shouldn’t the meter read higher than the inverter since its supplying to the entire house?

Also can you connect two VM-3P75CT 3 Phase meters to each port of cerbo gx? I did one to the ats grid side and generator side. But generator side doesn’t show unless the generator runs then its powered. Have i connected it wrongly?

Hi @NahidValli, if you are exporting power to the grid on the other phases, then the reported sum will of course be lower than the AC-in power reading. However, I’m guessing you don’t have any power generation. If that’s the case then there might be an issue with the wiring of the VM-3P75CT. E.g. mismatching of voltage and current terminals, inverted clamp direction or a damaged/not properly closed current clamp.

You can connect multiple VM-3P75CTs to the Cerbo GX. You can either connect them on a single VE.CAN bus by daisy-chaining, or connect them to both VE.CAN buses. Note that older versions of the Cerbo GX have 1 VE.CAN bus and 1 BMS-CAN port (which is not compatible with the VM-3P75CT). You can also use multiple VM-3P75CTs in a network by using the Ethernet port.

The reason you can only see the VM-3P75CT monitoring the genset is probably caused by the fact that the unit is powered via the L1-N voltage terminals. Meaning that if the generator isn’t running, the VM-3P75CT doesn’t receive any power.

Hello. Thanks for the explanation.

Yes. The other units only works when the generator turns on that’s resolved. (If I do connect as daisy chain. I will use one ve.can port on cerbo but reading of grid meter will work then when it’s gone and generator picks up it will read from generator meter. Right)

My concern is. In the 7” screen it shows nicely that inverter is suppling to “critical loads” then there are “ac loads”

but in the web platform it shows total ac loads which adds it with the critical load. Which I don’t want. I want it to show ac loads separate and critical loads separate.

Lastly I need to know how I can connect my DSE controller 7310 mkII straight to the cerbo gx.
