3 phase 127v Curaçao

Is it possible to use a victron 3 phase inverter as a 3 phase 127 volt inverter here on Curaçao? We have 127v/50 Hz. Is the AC part tuned with software (220 volt to 127volt)?

Have you looked at the available inverters? There are split-phase devices for the American market or transformers for universal use … 120V - 230V or 230 - 230 V

Is a 3 phase system necessary ???

Could you set up the system as three-phase 230V so triangle instead of star wiring ?

Then maybe you could still use European 230V units, but you’ll have to check with Victron, mine is just a wild guess…

The US Split-phase units probably don’t work, they have a phase-shift of 180°, three-phase has a shift of 120°.

The system of this house is a combination of 127v outlets and a dozen 235v outlets (that means two phases combined). The 235 (we call it 220v) is used for airco units, carpenter machines, the stove and several other parts. That goes on with the 110v.
So I need an inverter which give me 3 phases of 127v. I shall search on the American market.

Yes and let me explain why. I’m gonna install about 16 panels, a battery family (Pylontech) and of course an inverter. Than I want to go off grid. We cannot trust the grid of Aqualectra here on Curaçao.

The US has split-phase 117/230, so only a two-phase system.

Then you could use 3 multis/quattros in a 3-phase configuration. I would definitely keep a generator in the background …

You would have 3 phases 120V at 120° each as normal … or 2 phases 207V … whether that would be sufficient for your devices
You could increase the output voltage slightly to get your 127V.
You could simulate a multi 120V via VE-Configure … max is 128V
So I would say … that works

Thanks for your answer and about a generator… That’s for sure.

Depending on the electricity tariff / stability, you could go parallel to the grid and then recharge your batteries at certain times … So you don’t have to be OFF-grid all the time, but only when it’s necessary. I would almost favour this for large loads.
Or is there really no other way?

Staying on the grid means that the grid has to control and check the whole system, house and roof. They calculate $1000 for that and besides that I have to pay a monthly fee of $20 for the panels.
Being off the grid is just great adventure for me. The grid is very unstable here.

Then … lets go OFFGRID :grinning:
