I’ve just about “finished” my bus build. 2 multiplus ii 5k sending 240v to main panel fed by 8 590w bifacial panels with 20kwh of battery. The one thing I’m changing tomorrow is the mppt. I underestimated the max output of the panels and am upgrading from a 250/70 to a 250/100.
Looks nice and tidy. I’m curious - what’s the honeycomb material you have things mounted on? Is there something holds the cable against it?
Do you have the recommended 4 inches (10cm) above the MP-II’s for ventilation? They get a bit warm. It’s a bit hard to tell from the photo.
The honeycomb material is a fire resistant recycled tire floor mat that I found at Home Depot. As far as space goes above the mpiis. I don’t have the space so I opted for active cooling that you can’t see. The MPPT also has a heat activated fan on the back of it to draw air thru the heat sync. The whole bay also has 3-120mm fans blowing AC air into the compartment at all times.
