Hi,
My 12|12 30 dc dc charger charges batteri, 150 LiFe ah in “bursts” charges by 30 a in 2 seconds then 3-5 seconds with no charge. Settings set to factory LiFePo4. Toyota Hilux.
What can I do to make it charge better?
Thanks for any help.

Have you checked what your battery is doing, is this a new lithium battery, hopefully one with Bluetooth so you can interrogate this. What you are seeing often hapens if the battery cells are not balanced and one is high voltage, the BMS shuts down charging, the cell voltage stabilises and it restarts charging, nothing to do with the MPPT. What you need to do is gently bring your battery to balance. There are 2 things you can do, reduce the charging current to 10A or lower until you get steady charging, but I am not sure if you can do that on your charger, you may need to enable a custom battery settings. The second option is to reduce the absorption voltage, which should also reduce the charging current. Try 14.0V and see if you get steady charging. The thing is the battery may well need several hours of low rate charging to get the cells balanced.
Thanks, will try, battery is newly seviced from dealer. It has Bluetoth. It shows " 4 cycles" is rated for 3000…so its new. Its a battery with heatfoil, but shows only 5 C degree temprature .
That 5 degrees is also quite close to the lower temperature limit for any LiFePo4 battery.
So the BMS can also take a decision to halt charging…
Talk with the repairer about this.

Yes, It might be the heat function who has a problem. Will get that checked and the balance in cells at a shop.
Thanks!
