Just bought a Phoenix 12/1200 inverter and need to mount and make up cables etc. The manual only indicates orientation by ‘fan end’. Since I couldn’t see a fan, I took off the cover and it’s mounted roughly center and there’s no indication which direction the air flows. Dc end to Ac end or vice versa? I did a dummy set up, but wasn’t able to trigger the fan to come on. Does anyone have this unit, or know which end would be identified as ‘fan’ end? I assume they changed the product but not the manual at some point. Thanks.
The exhaust air blows out of the end with the ac receptacle, at least on my 48/1200.
Thanks. That’s what seemed likely. And since the air goes that way, it also makes sense that the DC end would be the ‘bottom’. But I don’t want to cut my cables, etc. twice. So still hoping to get confirmation of what the manual refers to as the ’fan end’. Did you mount yours vertical? DC down?
