Hi, I also have a Zoe Ph2 (bought second-hand two years ago after my PV system was installed) and charge it almost exclusively via an EV charging station NS. This winter, when temperatures dropped below freezing (at the end of December), I had massive problems and the car had to go to the repair shop several times. Renault provided updates and reconfiguration, etc. Now, a few weeks ago, when it got very hot, the same problems came back. But now resetting no longer works and the car no longer charges at all. Renault says that the charger (BCB) is defective and wants almost ā¬10,000 for the repair (replacement of PEC and motor). Other independent garages want ā¬3,000-5,000 for the repair. Could the EVCS deviation with the IEC 61851described here have damaged something in the Zoe charger?
Hello,
Iāve come across a similar situation with a Zoe, car keps saying ongoing checks and the EVCS reports as the car is charged, currently operating under FW2.05, (charger installed a week ago) does modifying Modbus 5108 to 0 still work?
is any other solutions available failing the above solution?
Regards George
Hello, I never met this kind of problem which can also come from a bug in the car or caracteristics of the grid.
If the EVCS displays charged state, it means that the car has requested to the EVCS charge relay to be closed and then to be open (the connection between car and EVCS doesnāt provide the rĆ©al Ā« charged Ā» status) => the issue could comes from a trouble on the voltage detection by the EVCS on the CP wire.
To go further you can Check :
if the charge is working with a domestic plug charge câble (same place , same « grid »)
If the charge is working with EVCS and firmware 2.0 for which the cp voltage dƩtection algorithm is older

Hi Benoit,
Thnaks for your replay, we had the car for nearly 3 years and itās been charging well so far via a Wallbox pulsar plus, (Victron didnāt release the charger at that time yet) also charging well with a 3 pin 13A portable charger,
What I did notice accidentally is that charging starts straight away without problems if I reboot the Victron EVCS (car must be plugged in prior to reboot,
Iāll try shortly FW 2.0
Regards George
Unfortunately the FW 2.0 did not make a difference, @Benoit if I could ask for some help please would you think any of other FW versions may work?
Regards George
Hello, if you already tried FW 2.0 and 2.5 without any change, the solution has to be looked for somewhere else. Have you test you charge station with another car ?
