Wrong figures in vrm - 3 phase + ac coupled solar + ct clamps

Hey guys,

I am running into something that looks very much like a bug, but maybe the community can help me figure it out.

My system 3 phase, multiplus II 48/5000 + cerbo gx + ct clamps on each phase. I also have an ac coupled huawei.

The connections are grid meter > ct clamps → ac coupled solar > multipluses ac in > loads on ac out, so my ct clamps are measuring net export/import

To get the remote ui and vrm to show the proper figures for grid, load, battery, solar i had to set the ac coupled pv inverter (a mqtt dbus device) to be connected virtually on ac out instead of where it is physically, on ac in.

Now for the problem, this all works perfectly except for the kWh figures in VRM, it looks to me like it is counting solar export twice or something like that, and this has a trickle effect on making all figures inaccurate.

Are there some settings to tell it that the inverter is ac coupled on ac in BUT the CT measurement is done at grid connection point? The CTs are set as external in ve configure.

thanks

/LE all figures like current and voltages are perfect, it s just the energy figures that are not ok

Hi there,

I have exactly the same problem. 3 Multiplus and 3 AC coupled PV Inverters (Hoymiles HMS-2000) that are connected to each ACout of the 3 Multipluses. I have a powermeter (Shelly 3EM pro) to measuere the PV Power.

Now it seems as the power from the PV Inverters is measuered twice.

Once the PV Inverter Power (Shelly 3em Pro) (729W) and a second time at the ACout of the Multipluses.

2*729W+9W-100W = 1367W which is pretty close to the 1359W.

Is there a way to tell Venus OS to correct the ACout Power by didacting he PV generated power ? Thanks a lot.

As far I can see, you have programed in the GX the inverters in AC In and connected in AC OUT, that’s the reason of bad measures…

Hi Juan, thanks for the hint please have a look at the config ini the configuration should be okay …

I am using the following plugin GitHub - funkmaster86/dbus-shelly-pro-3em-smartmeter

[DEFAULT]
AccessType = OnPremise
SignOfLifeLog = 1
CustomName = Shelly Pro 3EM
DeviceInstance = 41

Role Could be pvinverter or grid

Role = pvinverter

Available Postions: 0 = AC, 1 = AC-Out 1, AC-Out 2

Position = 1

Available values see logging — Logging facility for Python — Python 3.14.2 documentation

LogLevel=ERROR

[ONPREMISE]
Host=192.168.0.171

Password=

Allows to specify which input on the Shelly should correspond to L1 on the Venus/GX device

L1Position = 1

Juan, mmmh maybe you are right in the VRM the device is shown like this … Where can I change the position ?

It depends on which gui are you using, to change it in the gui v1, yo have to go to settings then PV inverters, inside search your inverter and change position, in gui V2 to go to settings and then devices, then search your inverter and in setup you can change the position.

Change position to 0
