I have three 410 Watt panels connected in series. Each has Vmp of 31.42 v so 1230 Watts divided by 94.26v should give me 13.05 amps of current so both the voltage and amperage are below 150/60 however I have read literature that says a 60amp charge controller charging a 12 v battery bank, can only accomodate 720 watt (calculated as 60amp x 12v = 720 watt). I am confused which logic to follw? Appreciate any help. Thanks.
It’s /and/ logic rather than /or/ logic. All of the above is true.
1230w into a 12vNom battery bank at an average charging voltage = ~91A of charge current, so if you want to capture all that (taking into account basic system losses) you’d be better off with a 150/85.
