Will multiplus 2 work with my original rv converter?

So I installed a multiplus 2 2x120 into my rv with solar mppt and 2 230 ah lithium lifepo4 batteries. I left my converter in because I wired in a transfer switch to use while batteries are not in rv. When I unhook from shore power and turn my converter off by the multiplus starts to make an EXTREMELY loud noise. Do you have a converter and an inverter? Or is the converter a dc to dc converter?

Are you sure you are switching off the inverter?
It is a three position switch on/off/charger only. It sounds like you are switching it into charge only so it is trying to charge batteries that aren’t there.

Ideally when the inverters batteries are not connected you need to also have a way to disconnect ac power in as well. So all power is disconnected from the unit.
