Which Orion-Tr to buy

I’m trying to work out which Tr-Smart I need, the 18A or 30A. I have a lead acid battery which says it is 120AH so I’m confused!
Help please

For 120Ah you should take the 18A tr.

You are right when you first start learning it is alot.
The c rating of the battery matters.

If it is 120AH and it is rated at C10 then it would ideally take 12A of charge. So the 18A would be most suitable of the two.

If there is LiFePO₄ in your future, consider going with the Orion XS 12-12/50. It will work with the existing lead acid battery, throttled down to 18 amps, as well as any future LiFePO₄ battery with a larger Ah rating. The Orion XS is more expensive, but it future-proofs your installation.
