I am working towards reading the “Advertised Data” over Bluetooth from some of my Victron products:
Do these products use :
Bluetooth Classic or
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) version 4 or
BLE version 5?

It will be BLE. As for version 4 or 5 I don’t know. Probably 4 on the older stuff. I would start there for all the stuff.

Thank you. I have been reading everywhere, including the old forum, for last few days to dig up info. Some useful stuff there but hard to find, and sadly I can’t message those who posted back then.
BLE version is not stated anywhere, even the Victron “datasheets” don;t specify, which is unusual for a datasheet. It’s important to know, I want to communictae using an ESP32 but some ESP32 communicate with BLE v4 only and some with BLE v4 + v5.

Our products work with BLE version 4 and most can use certain BLE 4.2 features, but they are not relevant for the Instant Readout feature. Receiving the Instant Readout data should be possible with any Bluetooth Low Energy compatible controller.
