What display are you using with your RaspberryPi?

Hello all!

We are in the middle of making Venus OS compatible with the RaspberryPi 5 as well as making it possible to run gui-v2 / New UI. A long awaited and demanded feature.

To continue forward, it would be good to know which types of displays are used most often. Please reply saying which one you use.

In my opinion, with the introduction of the Android GX Wi-Fi Display app, there’s little reason to continue using wired displays, whether for the Cerbo or the Raspberry Pi. At least, this holds true for stationary installations.

I’ve always run mine headless, couldn’t see the point of adding a screen when access is so easy over the local network or via VRM.

To offer you an actual answer to your question: C

I’m currently using option C with a small waveshare display (Display port, not HDMI) and Pi 4. Wifi option requires a network which I don’t have in a mobile application. Glad this is being worked on.

On RPi 3B+ starting from Venus OS 3.30 - only headless.

For initial setup - old 19” Samsung monitor with HDMI input. No modifications in files, just need it to be readable.
