On my Smartphone Samsung A40 with One UI-Version 3.1 and android version 11 since 10th September my widget at the startpage don’t diyplay anything.
I have already updated the VRM app with no success.
I had the same screen appear as you have posted here. Click on the VRM icon and it will take you to the VRM portal. If you have removed and reinstalled or installed the app for the first time it will prompt you to allow notifications from the app and also to enter your user name and password. Click in the check box “Keep me logged on” if you would like to open the app with a single click and not have to re-enter and your logon credentials.
I have already tried it but without succes.
As a suggestion, try uninstall and re-install the app. I remember that after the upgrade the app did not connect and one had a screen with a spinning wheel. After several minutes and nothing happening I uninstalled and re-installed the app. Thereafter All worked ok.
I have removed the app and reinstalled the app several times but without access. Do you Know if their exist a list with mandatory settings which are necessary to work proper?
The app should install as-is and it may prompt you to allow push notifications. Further than that, one should not have to make specific setting on the phone operating system.
My standard process when uninstalling is to restart the phone before re-installing. I do this to ensure that there are no remnants of the previous install in memory cache etc.
I have the same procedure as I uninstall an app. I also have allowed push notifications. All the time I have a spinning wheel. May it be possible that there is a software bug?
Initially my thoughts also turned to a software bug. After an uninstall, phone restart and re-install, I selected VRM on the initial screen then entered the logon id and password and all seemed OK. The phone I did this on is an IPhone IOS 18.6.2 with the latest release and updates.
From now, I am sure, it is a software bug. I have reinstalled my phone with all factory settings and the widget doesn’t work. I hope the bug will be fixed in next update.
