We have a complete Victron unit with solar panels and lead acid batteries ( we are off grid)
The first set of batteries( lead acid) lasted 6 years before voltage failure in two batteries , so we replaced all four with Victron lead acid batteries guaranted for two years. After 18 months one battery failed going from 12v to 9 v storage in à week thé supplier and Victron are refusing to honour the warranty .
Because we are off grid we do not have a wired internet connection but we have the Victron app on our phones showing the batteries have been correctly charged and never deep discharged.
It is common practice in the world I’m afraid, but in this case how on earth would you prove compliance, installation by approved installer / non stop data logs / tamper proofing of installation and parameters that may be required if going legal.
Read the small print of any guarantee / insurance and good luck complying / proving all of it.
As an example, i was watching congressional hearings the other day on USA house insurance and oh boy what a scam.
