Hey David, the screen can scroll left and right. That is how its designed, and that is also how I just now confirmed it to work on a test system here in the lab.
Scrolling works on an Ekrano GX, and also when operated in a webbrowser on a phone as well as a laptop.
Just connected from my windows PC (as I am now back home in the UK, boat is in Croatia) and connected via VRM, still can not see a way to scroll the window.
If I use my tablet via the VRM, yes it can scroll across.
Likewise if I connect via my Tailscale link from my tablet to the Cerbo GX as a ‘local’ connection it scrolls
I normally access via my Windows laptop or PC and this is certainly not working. Tried several browsers although most are now based on Chromium.
This is more of an annoyance, but I thought it should be recorded, users may need to be warned when the V2 goes into production, just in case they have a lot of environmental devices too.
I had tried to scroll left and right using the keys (I am old school and use key shortcuts a lot) as well as by placing my cursor on the screen, but I was clicking on the heading and foot areas outside a specific temperature panel, this moved me to the notifications panel, but did not move the temperature displays.
If I click on one of the temperature displays I can then scroll left and right.
I still think there could be a future enhancement as some boats have up to three water tanks, several black water tanks, multiple fuel tanks as well as LPG and temperature sensors. Having the option to group similar types together and display them on separate screens would make the displays a lot clearer.
I plan to add additional temperature sensors for the main cabin, port alternator, port starter battery, Bow Thruster batteries and the domestic batteries. I would group them into two groups, Cabins and Equipment.
Many thanks for producing a great improvement with Gui 2.
