Is it possible to use a VE Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle SE-C-VE-DIRECT-BT-DONGLE with a Cerbo GX 2 to extend the range of Bluetooth for use with BTLE tank sensors, etc.?

No, unfortunately that is not possible.

You can try to add a 3rd party USB Bluetooth dongle with an USB extension cable.
