Hi. I would like to reverse charge my starter battery from the aux battery. I have an Orion 12|12-30 connected to the starter battery charging the house battery. Currently both are Lead Acid. I have a MPPT charger connected to the Aux battery to charge from solar.
I would like to charge the starter battery from the solar when the vehicle is not running. Will the below setup work (connections to the MPPT & Orion are for illustration purposes). What is the impact of the below when the vehicle is running as the Cyrix will connect the batteries ?
If I connect the pin 86 (Gnd “-”) of the Cyrix to the BMV713 to one of the relay NC or NO (not sure which one ? assume it needs to be open and only close when AUX reaches float) connections and configure the relay to activate Cyrix to connect Main & AUX when the Aux battery has reached float voltage would this work ? What happens when AUX battery is in float and the vehicle is running ? Orion will be on float ? or will it try charge starter battery ?
