Using 2 x Orion XS in parallel to charge 1 x Service Battery

  1. Is it possible to connect to one LiFePo Service Battery the outputs of 2 Orion XS DC/DC Converters which are individually fed by the dynamos of my sailing catamaran with 2 motors?
This is the present set-up with lead-acid batteries as Service Batery Bank charged by the dynamos directly.

Meanwhile I did this and it works without observed problems as long as both chargers are configured the same way. I have however installed the Orion Smart 12V/12V-30A, non-isolated charger due to notified issues on the inteded Orion XS charger regarding RFI.

  1. How would each Orion XS trying to charge the Service Battery?

I observe that each charger individually delivers between 15-20 A into my LiFePo battery of 2x280 Ah at approximately 80-85%, independent of motor RPMs. The input voltage from the dynamos is around 13,9 V and the output voltage around 13,8 V.

  1. Can I expect with both motors running to double the charging current into the Service Battery?

This is what I observe.
But - I was expecting a loading current of up to 30 A per charger at this charge level of my LiFePo with one of the motors running at the maximum capacity of the charger.
This leaves the following question:

  1. Can the charger be configured to deliver max. output load current under my conditions - maybe with a modification of input/ouput voltage settings?

My present settings are:
Battery Type: LiFePo - default settings
Dynamo type - regular type
Firmware v1.13 (latest)
