Hello I’ve got my battery data sheet but not clue on what it all means can someone help me with the settings I need got 3 of this battery by the way and MPPT and DC to DC charger. thanks in advance
That datasheet does not have the recommended charge voltage on it which is remiss of Avon.
I notice that these are calcium batteries, Google searching suggests that lead calcium needs 14.8V to charge on absorption and 13.8V float. I am not familiar with these, or charging at such a high voltage, I suggest you contact the retailer and ask.
With 3 batteries in parallel.you max charge current should be 45Amps.
These are really starter batteries and only list 70 to 90 cycles so if you are using them for leisure batteries they may not have a long life.
Hello thanks for getting back to me I email them back about the battery and they said this
you need to ensure you get a bulk charge voltage of at least 14.4v using the current value listed on the spec sheet, but this can rise to in excess of 15v but only if on a reduced current
Good that they have given you a voltage because I could not have given a value. Set mac charge current to 45A and 14.4V and see how they work. Do not forget to keep an eye on liquid level and top up if needed
Amazing thanks for all your help
