Trickle charging a LifePo4 battery from a 12V trickle charger

,

Is there a battery protection product that Victron sells to protech LifePo4 battery from receiving a trickle charge. I am wanting to use my exisitng LifePo4 for this function but the trickle charge is not recommended for this battery chemistry. There is not a way in the current design of the Power supply to turn off the trickle charge but still use the LifePo4 batteries. (Astron RM-35-A BB) https://www.astroncorp.com/linear-rackmount. This power supply will provide a trickle charge to the battery hooked up to it. Is there some battery protection device that might be able to divert the trickle charge and provide a one way flow control to the power supply should the power drop.

If i understood correctly then the trickle charge refers to the battery backup. This power supply has a battery backup to continue to run its output in the event of a power failure. So i guess you want to use a LiFePo instead of the original lead acid? According to this schematic

You can simply not use the Bat+ output and then there will be no trickle charger anymore. But theres also no charging stages whatsoever. But this is not a charger by any modern standards, its a simple power supply. The lack of documentation on this device is also a bit concerning. Id continue using lead acid.

I assume you already have such a PSU? If not, then i would not bother with one, 38lbs for only 25A of output is massive apart from the other issues
