Time based power costs

Hello all,
is it possible to use dynamic ess for such a contract:

:bar_chart: Estimated Monthly Electricity Costs Breakdown

  • €81.13 in Low Tariff Zone → 40% of your monthly usage (350 kWh) occurs during low-price hours: 02:00–06:00 and 12:00–16:00
  • €132.03 in Standard Tariff Zone → 50% of usage (437.5 kWh) during standard-price hours: 06:00–12:00, 16:00–18:00, and 21:00–02:00
  • €30.78 in High Tariff Zone → 10% of usage (87.5 kWh) during peak-price hours: 18:00–21:00

:euro_banknote: Cost Calculation

Component Rate Usage Cost
Basic monthly fee – – €13.77
Low tariff 23.18 ct/kWh 350 kWh €81.13
Standard tariff 30.18 ct/kWh 437.5 kWh €132.03
High tariff 35.18 ct/kWh 87.5 kWh €30.78

Plan is to fill the batterie during the low cost period

Thanks for your feedback/support.

Under regular ESS you can set a schedule with a minimum SOC. You could set minimum SOC to 100% during 02:00-06:00 and 12:00-16:00. During higher pricing moments you set your minimum SOC to 20% or so and you’ll use your batteries during that time.

Would that not satisfy your requirements?

Please note that this is only a temporary workaround. With this approach, the Dynamic ESS system does not calculate the battery load based on the projected daily consumption, which may result in suboptimal charging behavior. Still, thanks for the suggestion!
