Tigo Optimiser with Victron MPPT RS450/200

The manual says not compatible, but lots of successful users discussing it. What gives? I have shading issues on several strings.

Put simply… Its fine until its not fine…

They are not officially supported by either party. And is explicitly stated not to do in the documents as i am sure you have read.

There have been cases of damage to the Victron mppts.
The simple fact is you now have two tracking devices on the set up.
Maybe if the optimisers just bypassed shaded panels or were used as rapid shut down. But two systems with no comms trying to ‘best’ track the same set of panels will not end well. (And is probably inefficient.)

Will also whisper the word warranty. When something is explicitly stated not to do, this matters.
