Third rs 485-usb energy meter doesn't show up VENUS GX ESS

I’ve connected a third energy meter ET112 with changed ID 3 via RX485 to powered USB hub to monitor a Heatpump in a ESS Setup. The grid ET112 (id1) and Solar ET 112(id2) show up in devices. but the third not. Does this have to do with the max devices on a VENUS GX (v3.68)?

If you are using separate RS485-USB adaptors for each meter you do not need to change the id, each one can be left as 1.

When using the ET112 you can use two devices per RS485-USB adapter, in which case one those two devices needs it’s id to be set to 2.

Well, having three different rs485 to usb cables and different id’s it makes it quite clear. Strange is only the one configured as gridmeter shows up in the energymeter menu. The one configured as solar is not showing up in the list but! shows up on the device list. Maybe because its configured on the multiplus side to?? As the manual states it should pop up on the energymeter list to configure it. Meter works as on the gavazzisoftware i can see all the readings and check the baudrate etc. And as i can remember the VENUS can only take six devices. But i count five if i do not count the GX as a device. mmmm.

As said, you can only connect 2 meters (id1 and id2) to each rs485 to usb converter

If you need a third you need another usb to rs 485 converter and id1 (or id2)

If you have 3 separate usb to rs 485 converters, leave the ids at 1

Higher adressing ids is not supported

What gx device are you using?
