I have a client who bought 4 x Tesla PowerBank (Not Powerwall) units from a community project that went bust, before the batteries were ever commissioned. He was led to believe that Tesla would re-commission these at his farm, but that turned out not to be the case. He’s now ended up with very expensive paper weights.
However, I pointed out to him that the 24V modules in these units would be of use either for EV conversions or BESS projects. He has 32 of these at 24V 6.5kWh, and 96 of them at 24V 3.5kWh each.
They’re bound to be of use by someone who can be bothered to take them out of their cabinets and reuse them.
They are currently stored in Dumfries, southern Scotland.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Dougz
