Ok, It is a little more complicated. I will be buying the 3 inverters at the same time and I will have the 3 connected in parallel. I will orgainse the wiring such that I can easily switch any one of the 3 to be the master depending on the hours that each is operating and also the rate of charging and inverting, aiming to have them all aging gracefully equally.

This is a great forum, so many interesting responses and ideas

All 3 inverters have to run when wired in parallel. So no need for any change in wiring for master / slave.
