Some questions on the /data/home/nodered/.node-red/directory and firmware integrity

All working here. Just some questions for clarity on new functionality in Venus OS.
We recently started using ContextStorage on a few systems
and some questions arise.

This file survives updates of Venus OS Large:

/data/home/nodered/.node-red/settings-user.js

  1. Will it also survive the “Node-Red Factory reset” from the Remote Console
  2. survive using the new “Reinstall firmware” button also in Remote Console

Noted that there is also a new “Modification checks” in /General.

On one system it says “Firmware integrity - modified - State of root-fs”
Is that a cause for concern ?
Or should I consider reinstalling Venus OS Large completely? Not easy to re-add that file on remote locations without SSH access. Or is there a way for this?
All is working perfectly as far as I can tell other than this.
Grateful for a comment. Many thanks.

Got any clarification in the meantime?

Updating the Venus OS firmware can be done remotely via VRM and won’t touch /data/home/nodered. This is risk free.

The “modified” firmware integrity message comes if you modify the the Venus firmware. Eg. by installing an the GuiMods or so.

A factory reset is a factory reset, so that will wipe the contents of /data/home/nodered too. See Venus OS Large image: Signal K and Node-RED [Victron Energy] for a description and Venus OS: Root Access [Victron Energy] for how that procedure exactly works. Most people won’t need that though.
