I want to use the Low Voltage Relay to turn my Smart IP43 Charger on when the state of charge of my LiFePO4 battery is low due to insufficient solar charging. Has anyone here done this and can tell me what I need and how to wire the relay to send the required battery-voltage information to the charger?
Update - I am now aware that the relay built into the IP43 is for external switching, not to turn the charger itself on and off. I have set up the IP43 Charger to switch on and off via the H/L remote terminals using the Ekrano GX ‘generator’ relay. This was straightforward to do, and the Ekrano GX offers a range of programming options. For DIYers like me, the manual could make it clear that this relay isn’t exclusively for controlling a generator. Other than a GX a battery monitor from Victron could be used to send a signal to the H/L remote terminals.
