Smart BatteryProtect 100 E1 Short Circuit Error

I have a Smart BatteryProtect installed between the DC loads and other Victron equipment in my camper van. Everything in the installation has been working fine for two years. Today when I turned the system on the SBP reported an E1 short circuit error. In the course of troubleshooting I disconnected everything from the OUT post on the SBP, and it still reports a short circuit error with nothing connected to the OUT post.

Is it possible the SBP has failed? Is there something else I should try?

If you still get the error with everything disconnected than you should contact your seller/installer.

Thank you for your reply Matthias. Unfortunate my installer went out of business so I will probably need to take care of this myself. Do you think the SBP just needs to be replaced, or might this be an indication of another problem?

Without knowing your system better it’s hard to say what could have caused the issue.

Thanks again for your response. Just as a follow-up, I ordered a replacement part and installed it today. Everything is working fine again. Looks like the SBP had failed in some way.
