I have installed a 50A Buck-Boost DC/DC converter in my truck. All the lights indicate it is working correctly. I downloaded the TSConfig software so that I can set the parameters. With the TSConfig software open I connected a USB cable from the converter to my laptop (with Windows 10 installed on it). Another window pops up asking me to select the converter com port. There are no com ports listed to select. I have tried both automatic and manual buttons but still nothing. I have tried all three USB ports on my laptop but still nothing. I notice a link at the bottom of the software that says, “click this link to download the USB driver for the converter”. Do I need to download a USB driver too? Any other ideas of what may be wrong?
Why the heck didn’t Victron make this device Bluetooth compatible like all of my other Victron equipment!!?? Or at least WiFi compatible!! I look forward to your help in this matter.
Thanks for the information. That’s a bummer. I did not know this was not Victron OEM. That explains the funky software.
I need a 12V to 24V battery to battery charger that is capable pushing 25A to a 24V system on my fifth wheel. This one boost 12V @ 50A to 24V @ 25A. I am using my 12V truck charging system to charge my batteries as I drive.
I am not aware of an Orian battery to battery charger that is capably of this amperage.
Hmmm. That must not have been out when I bought the one I have (6 months ago). I may have to try that out if I am not happy with the one I have or can’t get it working. Not a bad price either! I just wonder how it would last in my engine compartment?
