I run my 10kva inverter at near full load often.
I have an EV
I get an overload warning a few times a day and the system backs off the charger and or connects to the grid as it was designed.
Is this going to be a problem for longevity of the device?
Does anyone know what threshold the warning is issued?
Overload depends on the ambient temperature. The lower the temperature, the longer an inverter can work at it’s peak. I would lower the charge speed to my EV a bit, if I were you.
Power factor and ambient temp e.g. 10kVa factor .8 at 24C around 8kW
If it is only spikes should be Ok otherwise change the load structure as running devices near capacity will influence longevity.
