I am in the process of migrating from Outback to Victron for my 10 kw off grid system. The Quattro 10,000 48 volt is working and as soon as I return to the country I will install 3 each 250/70 Mppt, the Cerbo and screen and a smart shunt. My question is that in my previous system a simple 12 volt relay on one CC was used to send a signal to a SSR to turn on the water heater when the 12 BB lithium’s were happy. Seems the new system has many relays but not sure which one to use for the purpose? Reading the manuals has left that question unanswered, at least to me. System is DYI because no one for 75 miles will do the work. ( many electricians, all avoid solar, one skilled, but stays way too busy for service issues)
So I am handy electrically but lost electronically and at 77yo will probably stay that way. Which do you reckon is the most simple and robust relay to use?
Do you just need a signal to the relay?
Do you want it switched on State of Charge or voltage?
State of charge would be fine I believe
