Quattro/Ac/ActiveIn/L1/A showing 5 amps when zero current

I’m not sure if there is a bug on the cerbo. If the actual current goes below 5A then it shows +5 or -5 A. It never shows a value any lower. I get the same behaviour in vrm, remote and the node-red nodes. Does anyone else see this behaviour?

Strangely the power is showing correctly jumping around zero watts.

I am running a Quattro 10000

Here is an example of what I mean. The power is 23w as in the upper graph. The current oscillates between +5.1 and -5.1 A. The current is in fact near as zero as you can say as the meter into the house isn’t logging any usage.

The Cerbo itself does not measure any current.
It receives the values either from its internal current sensor or an external counter, etc.

Are you using an external meter, the Current sensor or just the internal one from the Quattro?

Hi. yes that is what I understood as well. But there is a problem in how the data is processed somewhere. The power is displayed as zero so somewhere the correct numbers are being used. However, the current is capped at 5.1A and is never shown as being lower.

It is the internal quattro numbers.

Do you have an MK3 adapter and the necessary VE-Configure software?

Yep. I’ll check to see what the quattro is showing later.

Here, is a screenshot from the remote. You can clearly see 0W and -5.1A. ie about 1220W with 5.1A. It must be a software error as it can’t possibly get 0kW without the amps being zero.

The only thing I can think may be is it is measuring the current from the reactive power.

Mine seems to be right.

I’ve viewed mine using the custom node viewer and it is showing the same values as the remote viewer. I do have to update my cerbo to the latest firmware so I shall try that next.
