Pytes E-BOX-48100R with Victron (Quattro + MPPT): setup and GX communication help

Hello, I would like you to help me with what I’m about to do. Any recommendation is greatly appreciated:

I have a system with 8 panels of 410 W, Voc = 49.4 V and Isc = 10.59 A. The panels are arranged in 2 strings of 4 each.

I’m going to use a Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT Tr charge controller, 250 V (input), 60 A (output), with 12/24/36/48 V output. The inverter is a Victron Energy Quattro 48 V, 5000 VA and 70 A.

I want to add this battery: Pytes E-BOX-48100R, 51.2 V, 5.12 kWh. But I understand it’s not plug-and-play and that some configuration is required.

If anyone here has installed these batteries with Victron equipment, I would really appreciate any guidance you can provide.

On site there is a Color Control GX, which I’m not sure will work for this, or if I need a Cerbo GX (I bought one and will bring it as well).

My MPPT uses VE.Direct; it does not have a CAN port. So it connects via a VE.Direct cable to the Color Control (or the Cerbo GX).

The Quattro uses VE.Bus; it does not have a CAN port. So it connects via a VE.Bus cable to the Color Control (or the Cerbo GX).

The battery is CAN, but I’m not sure if it has an internal terminator.

Bonjour, j’ai installé une batterie DIY avec un BMS JK, pour cette marque de BMS il y a des vidéo pour expliquer. Dans les grandes lignes je transpose ce que j’ai compris de mon système au votre.

Seul certaines batteries de marque comme pylontech sont reconnus de façon native par le système Vénus os (dans le Cerbo GX). Pour les autres modèles de batterie non pris en charge à la méthode et la suivante récupérer un signal de communication RS485 avec un fil 3 brins que vous connecterez sur un adaptateur rS 485 vers USB, une fois cela fait il existe un pilote dbus-serialbattery à télécharger sur le Cerbo GX, pour cela il vous faudra être super utilisateur afin d’accéder aux fichiers du système.

CCGX is end of life, it can still be used, but it will not get any more venus updates. 3.50 is the last version for the CCGX.
