Power Lynx Distributor with Cerbo Gx

I’ve previously used a 12V step down to get the 5 volts needed to power the Lynx, but I’ve read that you can take power from USB on Cerbo to supply the 5 volts. I verified that I indeed have 5 volts out, but when I wire it to the distributor with the RJ11 (Y/B), it doesn’t light up. I also noticed that voltage drops to around 4 when wired between the distributor and the Cerbo. Does this hack actually work or should I go back to the step down solution? BTW I attempted this option as I didn’t have any step downs. Thanks

Update: apparently I had two defective USB cables. I tried a third using 5v from the USB side to Y/B on RJ10 plug and lights are now working. This solution seems a lot more simple and cheaper than using Buck converters. $0 if you already have a Cerbo and patch cord supplied with Lynx.

Have a Look on this solution and you will get alerts from VRM if a fuse is blown.

Thanks for suggestion
