Please Check my Design - I blew 2 x MPPT's so hope to avoid that again

I made a FALSE assumption in my previous design that the Victron MPPT’s would step up voltage from 43v to charge a 48v battery - Big Mistake !

I have now updated the design and will need to buy new MPPT’s.
Can someone that knows what they are doing please check I have spec’d the right MPPT’s for the panels already mounted. Also please check the size A/C MIDI-fuse needed between the Multiplus and AC return feed.

Indeed, the MPPT charges do not step up and there are rules of thumbs at various places in the manuals about how to size your components and PV-panels.

This forum is not meant for doing designs, see the guidelines, so do not expect many responses.

What I suggest you do is read all the manuals from all the components you think you need. You won’t be able to remember it all, but it gives you a general feeling of how it works.

Then read them again, more thoroughly, component by component, just before installing.

Redownload them, as they change often.

Make notes, make notes, make notes…

Assuming that the Mppt raises the voltage from 43V , you cannot have destroyed your MPPTs!!!
So you must have done something else …
What did your old concept look like?
The new design is ok. The 150 mppts are definitely not overloaded … but I doubt that you need 25mm or even get it into the clamps of the Mppts … 16mm square pressed should go in at most …
Do you use a GX Device in your System ?

Hi Steffen, thanks for replying.
I had the two JA Solar 600W in Parallel thus generating 43,76c at 27.42A … as it turns out I am getting 50.5volts on the West at sundown and 49v on the East panels. So it should not have damaged the mppt’s although not optimal for charging a 48v battery.

On the 4 x North panels in paralell and series that should be giving me 87.76v @ 27.41 A and yet the 150/45 is beeping and giving me an error ???

I have a Cerbo GX. Is it the settings my installer used?
I need some help please.

I have attached a video where I show voltage meter readings and nothing is making sense.

Thanks Steefen,
Nothing is making sense. Actually I am measuring close to 48v so agree they should be undamaged but anyway.,

The array that should be working perfectly which is the North 4 x panels in Parallel - and generating 93.4v but is giving and error ???

I do have Cerbo GX - is it settings or did my installer make a mistake on wiring?
Video attached

remove the 100/30 MPPT’s from your system, the 100/30 is only a 12v/24v controller and cannot charge a 48v battery. On your schematic its listed as 150/35 but the video shows a 100/30.
all 100v Vicron MPPT’s are 12/24 volt, except the 100/20(it can go up to 48v)

Thanks Stefan - I have ordered the 2 x 150/35’s and will put the East and West in serries which should solve those two arrays. The North 4 panels 2 in series in parallel I will need to check the installer connected it right. They seem to have the correct voltage but the Cerbo is saying the 145/50 MPPT is giving error 21.

remove the 2 100v mppt with their pv strings from the PV combiner box so that it is completly removed from the system so as to check that your pv wires is not crossed.
Also remove the 2 100v mppt’s from the battery and the cerbo.

remove all wires from the 150/45 ( p.v, battery and v.e direct) as to reset the mppt. now only the cental pv string shoeld be connected, ttest that the polarity of the pv string is correct into the MPPT 150/45, test the battery polarity and connect to the mppt, reboot the cerbo…
