I’ve got 3 of the new Multiplus 6k5 units to be paralleled.
A couple of questions:
In the Victron manual it states: ‘It is essential the negative battery terminal between the units is always connected. A fuse or circuit breaker is not allowed on the negative.’
No problem placing 3 x CBs on each of the batt+ cables, however this will be connected after the Lynx busbar to a large 400amp shunt trip breaker - therefore breaking both +/- if it trips. Will this be an issue?
Victron also states ‘If a positive and a negative DC distribution point is used, the cross-section of the connection between the batteries and the DC distribution point must at least equal the sum of the required cross-sections of the connections between the distribution point and the units.’
Cables from the inverters to the busbar will be 35mm each and the cables from the busbar to the batteries will be 2 x 70mm. I assume this complies?
Thanks for any feedback.
