Orion XS sensitive to voltage spikes?

I have a 12 V 15 kWh LFP battery and a AGM 400 AH battery. Between both batteries a Orion XS rated at 50 amp is instlled to charge the LFP bank. The anchor winch and the bowthruster and engine startmotor are connected to the AGM.
Now the power mosfets of the Orion are blown, - will be replaced under guarantee I assume.
Could it be that voltage spikes from bowthruster or anchor winch during switching on/off have damaged the mosfets?

Actually the agm battery should suppress any spikes before they reach the xs.

Yes i thought so too, but i will have a close look at the circuit diagrams and the cable lengths. Maybe i try extra TVS diodes first at in- and output of the orion XS(transient voltage suppressor).
