Orion XS 50A - Only Charging at 27A

Does this setup in the screenshots look correct?

I was hoping to get 50A output but it is only charging at about 27A in bulk charge mode when the lithium battery is at 45%.

The Orion XS is installed in a 2024 LandCruiser with about 5m of wiring from the starter battery to the Orion XS, then into a 100A lithium battery.

I cannot remember the size of the cable that I used but I tried to size it as larger as possible in accordance with the Victron specs.

Pls also post your settings

Thanks for reply … here are the settings …

The voltage is about 13.3V with engine running and 13.0V with engine off.

I think it is caused by the engine shutdown detection. What voltage should I set so that to make sure the Orion XS turns off when the car stops.

And this is the 100 ah lithium battery that I am charging…

The Orion XS will reduce the charge current if input voltage is close to engine shutdown. This will keep the charger charging.
This is stated in the manual page 11. Your car is probably euro6 and the recommended thing to do is not to use engine shutdown detection. Instead use the input to turn off the charger when engine is not running.

Thanks … do I just remove that small wire loop between L and H, then connect an ignition trigger source to one of them?

The manual says to connect the ignition trigger to L per screenshot below … but some internet sources say correct the ignition trigger to H?

What do H and L do?

Yes.
By memory,
H is for activating with +
L is for activating with 0v
So you will need too use only one, but can use both if you eg. Want a manual override for start charging.
