AGM 100Ah, 2 x 100W panels, Venus Pi and:
Just as a POC to run my desk with PC, monitor, phone charger and desk lamp.
Great to learn all the solar aspects.

… But take your loads from the load output of the Mppt and then connect them directly via the battery (or by Relais from the Load Output) … the ‘load outputs’ can’t switch much
Thx for the tip.
For now I’ve only got 2 x 3w led lights and a phone charger on there.
I will look into that Relais from the Load Output. Electro noob here
How much can that Load Output switch?
The problem is that this is not a relay but a semiconductor. Larger or unfavourable loads with very high and extremely short inrush currents … also small leds etc. … could destroy it. Have a look at the data sheet … I think it says that … Do you use the ‘voltage option’ to switch off your loads when the voltage becomes too low?
Datasheet:
The rated current of the load output is 15 A or 20 A (depending on the MPPT model) and is short-circuit-proof.
So that would work after all … the lower currents are with the 48V regulators … My mistake
but still be careful not to overload it …
or use a relay … then you eliminate this error completely
but even 15A can easily be exceeded by leds in the short term …
You could use a SSR-60DD … you could also replace it in an emergency, but you can see from the LED whether it is being controlled.
