Multiplus or Multi rs solar?

The Multi RS Solar 48/6000/100-450/100 is also approved in Belgium by Synergrid as on march 2025.
edit: ok, already old news.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if the Multiplus (solar) can work together with smaller MPPTs like the 150/35?

I can get the 150/35 to charge the batteries just fine, but once the battery reaches 100%, the MPPT shuts down.

Is there any way to feed excess PV power (48 V system) into the grid instead of it being lost?

Thanks in advance!

This is not the proper topic to ask, but here goes:

Settings > ESS > Grid feed-in > DC-coupled PV - feed in excess

Remark: if you enable that, excess PV from the MPPT will be fed to the grid, but the system’s maximum battery charge current will be ignored.
Make sure your batteries can handle that.

This is only correct when using the old Multiplus devices.
The new Multiplus solar does handle the ESS not like that and there are not settings available in the cerbo. This is why i asked on this topic, because it would help someone to decide to go for integrated solar or normal multiplus devices with external MPPT

Explain what you mean by the new multi plus then?

Because yes they meaning the multi plus 2 do work with smaller mppts when programmed with ESS.

Are you referring to the multi rs 6kva?

I’m starting to suspect they mean the new Multi RS indeed.

Yes, it’s the Multi RS with two PV string inputs.
The system is configured as follows:

The corresponding setting:
Settings > ESS > Grid feed-in > DC-coupled PV – feed in excess
cannot be applied, as the RS units were configured using VictronConnect and have the ESS assistant installed directly on the devices.

As a result, I’m unable to adjust ESS settings via the Cerbo GX.
And the RS dont support this setting afaik.
