The power peak when inverter can exceed 100% and generate a 120% or 150% more energy during a short time is available in a solar on grid configuration attached to AC IN or only when off grid through AC OUT?
@josec When using ESS with e.g. a MP-ll 5 kVA feeding in via ACIN, it will produce up to 4.4k. When off-grid 4kW when output is via ACOUT as is shown on the certificates. No it it will not produce more power if more PV is available and only take the required power from PV.
so what are the Power Peak then? It says that it could produce 120% or 150% for short periods of time
That is basically an overload condition which the inverter can handle for short periods when off-grid (no ACIN) when it experiences a big demand / surge as I mentioned earlier e.g. when a compressor kicks in or while a generator has ramp up and to kick in to serve a load larger than the inverter is rated for. With ESS it does not overload as it simply compliments any shortfall from the grid and also note that it has to operate within the specified parameters stipulated by the grid operators.
