Multiplus II as a charger only

I have a Quattro 10000 already. I am unable to charge fast enough during the cheap rate period so I noticed that the Multiplus ii 48/3000 are reasonably priced now.

I presume if I have the inverter turned off in the multiplus, there is no problem with having the Multiplus ii as a charger for my battery system.

The skylla seems very over priced in comparison.

Even with the Multiplus ii I am only at 40% of what my wiring and batteries can take. I can’t think of any reason why not, but belts and braces :slight_smile:

Why not take a Phoenix charger instead ?

What is your idea for only letting it charge during the cheap times?

I’m losing my E10 which allowed me to use 100% cheap rate throughout the day. I won’t be able to charge 80kWh of batteries in 7 hours to get me through the next 17 hours in the winter months. I’ve got a home rolled ESS which I made before victron made theirs. It still seems to be more accurate than Victron’s RE the weather forecast.
