MultiPlus-II 48/6K5/100-50 230V efficiency curve

can you please provide the efficiency curve for the Multiplus-II 6k5 ( and 4k5 )

  1. AC–> DC
  2. DC –> AC
  3. temperature degradation

By the way , is this also available for :

Multi RS Solar 48/6000

And what about : Multi HS 19 , Multiplus-CL

I guess for the “classic” MultiPlus it will be almost the same as shown here:

Not sure if there is a similar curve available for the RS models.

I’d like to optimise my system so I need to know the exact efficency.
Conneting panels by using

Microinverter and 230V AC

or Victron MPPT’s with 48V DC and then select which cable diameter ?

Hi there, I’m also curious about the efficiency at low power levels for the new 4k5 model. Standby-loss at home is less than 100 W at night and most inverters have terrible efficiencies at low power. Growatt for example just makes me cry at low power.

Multiplus-II 48/5000 efficiency curve - VictronEnergy The DC-AC conversion at 200 W looks good following Raphael’s measurements for the old 5000 model. It would be great if the 4500 brings further improvements on the low end.

If we can trust the Victron datasheet the new 4k5 and 6k5 are definitely worst for idle consumption than the “old” 3k/5k parts:
The maximum efficiency is the same (95% for the smaller 3k/4k5 and 96% for the 5k/6k5), but the zero load power is much higher:
3k zero load power = 11W
4k5 zero load power = 20W
5k zero load power = 18W
6k5 zero load power = 28W

If you compare a 48/3000 to a 48/4k5 then thats an unfair comparison. The 48/3000 is rated at 2400W while the 4k5 is rated at 4500W. The older units used their kVA rating in the name.

A better comparison would be 48/5000 versus 48/4k5, since then you compare 4000W to 4500W.

It’s rated at 4000W.

Ok so just compare the 4k5 with the 5k:
4k5 zero load power = 20W (max efficiency 95%)
5k zero load power = 18W (max efficiency 96%)

With the “old” 5k you get more power, better efficiency and lower zero load power. From an efficiency point of view the choice is simple.

Thats the point, you dont. 5kVA is not 5kW

And i thought they now name them after the kW rating, but apparently its a 2h limit…

in inverter mode they have the same power: 4kW at 25°C, but in charge mode the the 5k has much more power: 70A vs 55A at 25°C.
