I’ve tried searching for an answer to this and can’t find clarity.
What type of RCBO should be used between the 230V hook up and the MP? Is curve B or C recommended, or is either ok? And is 16 Amp sufficient?
I am no expert, but my preference is curve B as it would trip at a lower overload current. But I want to avoid unnecessary trips.
Related - what curve type RCBO should be used after the MP? I’ve read that having RCBO’s before and after the MP might not be a good idea. Any thoughts please?
Just one RCBO on the output no reason to have one on the input unless there is a long unprotected cable run that is vulnerable to damage* and then the RCBO should be at source.
16amp is fine for protection much lower and you may get nuisance tripping at full load, any higher and you risk inverter shutdown on overload.
10amp should also be ok but that’s close to the inverter output at full load
