hi i have been testing for a week now and keep getting my battery overvoltage protections
i have a multiplus, JBDbms,rasp running venusOS and a 100/15 mppt
i have dvcc enabled and sharing the voltage but if i watch the multiplus when hitting absortion it will raise the dc voltage right upto 16v sometimes mostly just keep hittin 14.6-14.8 it does settle back down after around 10 seconds
i have also tried using the limit voltage to 14.2 in dvcc
i have reuploaded settings to the multiplus too many times now
i will add some screen shots
can any one give me some advise to stop the over voltage ?
also disabled the mppt to make sure the overvoltage is originaating at the multi
Is your battery disconnecting and the Multiplus loses its reference. Do you have SVS setup because if you have SVS from the battery and the battery BMS disconnects the system no longer sees the battery voltage and has no reference and can go high. It is hard to differentitate between the supply voltage going high and the BMS disconnecting and the BMS disconnecting causing the voltage to jump. If you have SVS enabled from the battery turn it off and see what happens.
Yes I have shared voltage sense the battery disconnects the charging mosfet at 14.6v then it runs away but it shouldn’t be getting 14.6 in the first place
Battery overvoltage or cell over voltage warnings from the BMS? What size balance capabilities does it have?
If under 1A maybe consider slowing down the charge, lowering (in settings) the charged voltage.
Did you wet yo thr BMS Parameters yourself?
No the cells are within 0.003v it’s the whole pack rising to 14.6 the Ve.bus is raising to 15v in some cases i can not stop the multiplus overvolting while just on itsself of shared voltage with the bms
