Hi all. Might be silly question.
The Multi RS has the built in MPPT’s and is rated 450V and 13A. My question is about the amp rating, Is the 13A rating across both the MPPT’s (6.5A per mppt) or is it 13A for both the mppt’s.
Thanks in advance.

450V x 13A = 6kW
3kW per tracker
Here
Thanks for that. Yes i am aware of the power being split up into 3kw per tracker, but does that mean the amps should be as well?
For example 4 x 595W panels. That 2.3KW and 13A. Will i be able to connect one string per mppt that has 13A? In total there will be 26A going into the device.
no, it will not be 26A because the 2 currents do not add up between the 2 MPPTs and yes you can put 4 of your PVs in series per MPPT
you can even put 5 max per MPPT, you will be almost at the max of 6kW unless the addition of the voltages exceeds 450V of course
I’ve seen currents of up to 12A per tracker in my configuration. The 13/16A limit is per tracker.
In my case, with a 200V string voltage per tracker, was 200x12 = 2400W per MPPT, a total of 4800W in that moment, with 2 trackers.
Thanks for that.
Awesome thanks Deon Korb!
