Is it possible to connect a goodwe 3000w grid inverter on AC out 2?
The multi RS has its own 4800w solar array.
I know AC out 2 will disconnect when grid power fails, so the inverter should then automaticly shut down.
I am not shure this inverter will work with frequency shift.
Will AC out 2 show up in victron connect?
Will I need to apply the 1:1 rule , AC out 2 is just a bidirectional passthrough?
If possible what are the down sides
Yes thats possible, not shure it will show, if you want to monitor/let the system take the goodwe pv into account you will need a energy meter for it (ET112)
Thanks Marc!
This not create an over load for the multi rs?
The total of the solar , 4800 on the multi mppt’s and 3000 on out 2.
Just look at the schematic of Multi RS and see that AC-OUT2 and AC-IN are the same thing.
The frequency shift will not appear/work on AC-OUT2 and if the AC-IN fails, the AC-OUT2 fails.
No, when grid is there and feedin is allowed ac pv will go to loads/grid/ battery, mppt will do the same
When grid is there and feedin is not allowed, pv ac will go to loads/battery and mppt will throttle down
When grid is lost you will only have mppt pv
Ahh I see, no relays between AC in and AC out 2!
I was affraid I could perhaps burn out the relays.
Thank you!
Thanks again Marc!
I will proceed with further installation and see if it shows up in Victron connect.
I think it will , it is the only thing connected to ac out 2.
And just as I wrote this I thought no it won’t.
It is a direct connect to AC in.
So something will show that flows through the multi RS but not everything , because some power will also directly go to the grid.
So if I want to see its total output in victron connect it wil need its own meter.
