Mulitplus 2 capacity sizing: peak power duration?

Hello,

I’m trying to size the power of the Multiplus-II I want to install.
The system, single phase, should work both net linked as well in off-grid (island modus).

Our heatpump has a peak power consumption of up to 6kW, this peak power is drawn typically during start-up and fairly quickly drops down to around 1,5 to 2 kW.
So I’m doubting as to go for a MP-II 48/5000 or 48/8000.

The MP-II 48/5000 has a peak power output of 9 kW, however the specifications do not detail for how long this peak power can be delivered.

Any advice?

Have a look at the Webinar: Diagnosing inverter overload video.

Mention the make/model/capacity of the heat pump.
Some one might be using this, or something similar, and be able to give advice.
