MPPT External Control

Hi every one here,

My Ve. Direct MPPT is set the voltage to 30.4V and in External control, the value i did not set any where, neither in the MPPT nor in the inverter

Above are my MPPT settings and the setting in VE configure are almost the same.
It does this with or without DVCC enabled.

Am wondering where the MPPT gets this setting!?

This causes this particular MPPT not to produce.

The other Ve. Can MPPTS are producing and they are not in EXTERNAL CONTROL MODE but rather independent.

  1. Why am i getting the voltage 30.4 (Smart Solar)
  2. Why are the other MPPTs not in external control automatically (Blue Solar)

Looks like this particular MPPT is not connected to the battery. Do check your wiring and fuses.
You should be able to set back to normal control - not sure why this has gone to external control - do you have a BMS in your system?

You also have temperature compensation on. That means the temperature set is not always the temperature that is will be charged to

By this do you mean not connected to a GX?

I will disable the temperature compensation

The other MPPTS are connected to the GX device via VE. Can

No BMS in the system.
But it is connected to the gx device.

Program it by using expert to modify the built in preset for lifepo4.

I have done that but seems not to produce still.!

When i check on the devices tab on the gx. I see a set charge voltage of 30.4V!!? My set absorption voltage both in the MPPT and in the multi is 28.4 and 28.5 respectively. Where os this set point coming from?

System was wkrking fine until we got an error 18. Since then the set point went to 30.4V; could it a hardware issue?

The mppt is producing 8W. It is only producing for its own self consumption at this point. It won’t be supplying loads if there is not need or the battery voltage is higher than expected.

Can you explain the whole of your system?

What do you mean by this? Use a lithium profile set all voltages the same. Are you using the ess assistant?

If you think it is hardware, there are a few tests to run first.
Error 18 is an event.
